The Tomakki Stalk Hound is a local species on the planet Tomakk, uniquely adapted to the harsh deserts covering much of the planet's surface.

They are, on average, 4 meters long, can weigh up to 1 ton, and feature a crimson coating along their back. They specialize in stalking prey for days or scavenging. The color scheme of the hound does not offer any camouflage in the desert. Instead, the shine and color are reminiscent of a local plant that desert travelers seek out. At a great distance, the stalk hound can be mistaken for this plant, and once an animal is within roughly a kilometer of the Stalk Hound, there is usually no escape. The hound can sprint in short bursts of upwards of 150 km/h. It achieves this by leveraging the strong desert winds with its oddly shaped tail as a vertical wing.

In addition, its tail wing is an excellent surface to relieve heat, and its shiny crimson red back is great at reflecting Tomakk's red sun.
