Tomakki are a humanoid race from the planet Tomakk. They are usually a heavy-set people; their world has vast deserts, so their body is built to deal with lack of food for extended durations of time. Their bodies naturally store high-quality proteins, fats and carbs to survive on for weeks.

Tomakki have four fingers, with two of them being thumb-like. To humans, the Tomakki are generally brutish-looking, with their heads being skull-like with the lack of lips and any wrinkly skin. Their lack of lips and wrinkly skin is an adaptation they have evolved to deal with the dry heat found in many places on Tomakk; their wrinkly skin creates extra surface area for their internal heat to dissipate through.

Tomakk is situated inside the belt, and through many centuries of instability and civil war, many Tomakkians have found themselves connected to warlords, pirates, hired mercenaries or other crime syndicates, giving the race as a whole a reputation of being a ‘race of criminals’.

In recent years, the Tomakki on the planet Tomakk have gathered under two banners: Hjaric, a retired pirate lord, and Thormuz, a former lieutenant of Hjaric, but now bitter enemies. Hjaric has become the lord of Tomakk, ruling as a king; however, Thormuz is leading a rebellious collective of freedom fighters looking to redefine the galaxy’s outlook on Tomakki.

There are roughly 5 billion Tomakki in the galaxy, with most of them being spread out, and only 3 billion on the planet Tomakk.
