In the great distances of space starships are in need of a variety of ways to warp through space, break into atmospheres and leave planets.

Although there are many different starships, a lot of them share similar components that help them traverse in space, notable is the Horizon Drive, Impusle Boosters and a Force Shield.

Starships have different ways of implementing these functionalities, but most have some form of them.

Other more universal features you will find on starships are docking ports, radar, artificial gravity and general life support systems.
